The Chittagong Hill Tracts is a special geographical region inhabited by the Indigenous Community People, situated in the south-eastern part of Bangladesh. The eleven Indigenous community people who speak ten different own languages are depriving of various development issues. Lack of communication, capital formation, water, sanitation provision, community capacity, local institution building, infrastructures, technical training, education, health care and various issues are the major problems of indigenous people. Indigenous community people have been deprived of participation in the mainstreaming from various development processes and have been kept out of the development planning and implementation of Bangladesh. The imbalance has been created for the indigenous community people related to the social, political, economical, technical, cultural, and other development processes. Green Land is committed to plan and implement social, economical, technical, and cultural development programs for the disadvantaged and underdeveloped indigenous community people. The Green Land was established on 01 October 2006 for creating an environmental-friendly development approach and contributing to the socio-economical development strategy to the indigenous communities.
